Earthquake Disaster Relief
While around 20,000 earthquakes occur every year, only about 15 are considered major earthquakes (magnitude 7 or higher) and only about 1 is considered a great earthquake (magnitude 8 or greater).
But even a “small” earthquake can cause catastrophic destruction with loss of life, billions in property damage, and years of recovery.
The effects of an earthquake require effective funding.
AEF has identified the following nonprofits bringing relief to communities impacted by the aftermath of earthquakes.
